2025 MFA Open 1

Early bird deadline Thursday, November 20 – $25 + event fee

Regular price deadline Thursday, November 27 – $35 + event fee

Registrations will not be accepted after November 27. 

Venue: Romeo Dallaire School, 81 Quail Ridge Road, Winnipeg

All participants must purchase both the tournament registration fee and an event fee.

A valid Full, Rural or 10 week membership is required to compete. 

Event fee(s):

• $15 U11/Y10 (born 2015 or after)
• $15 U13/Y12 (born 2013 or after)
• $15 U15/Y14 (born 2011 or after)
• $25 Cadet/U17 (born 2009 or after)
• $25 Junior/U20 (born 2006 or after)
• $25 Senior/Open
• $25 Masters (30+)

Age categories are the participants age as of Dec. 31, 2025.

Events will be separated by gender unless there are fewer than 5 registrants of one gender. Events may be combined (age and/or gender) where appropriate.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND EQUIPMENT STANDARDS (link)

We will be accepting up to size 2 blades for U11 events. Mask strap changes and soft covers for chest protectors will not be enforced.

Schedule*:

8:00 AM check-in and equipment check open and remain open all day. The times listed represent the close of check-in. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive at least 1 hour before the close of check-in.

Saturday

9:00 AM – Open Foil, Junior Epee, Junior Sabre, Master’s Foil,  U15 Sabre

11:00 AM – U15 Epee

11:30 AM – Junior Foil, Master’s Epee, Open Sabre, U15 Foil, U11/13 Sabre**

Sunday

9:00 AM – U11/13 Epee**, U13 Foil, Cadet Epee, Cadet Sabre

11:30 AM – U11/13 Epee**, Open Epee

12:00 PM – U11 Foil, Master’s Sabre, Cadet Foil
