As summer winds down, clubs open up! Coaches are certified and ‘Respect in Sport’ trained.

Lightning Fencing Club – Open houses September 16 and 18, St. James area
Phoenix Fencing Club – Classes ongoing, Fort Rouge area
Rapier Fencing Club – Classes start late September, St. Boniface area
According to Dr. Brent Roussin, youth under the age of 18 years do not require COVID 19 vaccinations to participate in sports; this is similar to policies in Manitoba’s schools. Subject to change according to the number of active cases in the province. CTV News video here (link).

The Rapier Fencing Club (RFC) is back in action! We are pleased to announce 3 half day training camps. These camps are free of charge and are open to first-time and novice fencers alike!
Camps are hosted at the Sport For Life Center on August 14, 21, and 28, from 10am-1pm. Please join us for a fun-filled, action packed fencing experience, with instruction being offered in both French and English.

The goal of the camp is to prepare the fencer for the next competitive season in all weapons. The emphasis will be on training athletes for Canada Cup 1/2, Canada Games, NAC and International Circuits. Athletes who have at least one-year fencing are very welcome.
