Fencing, whether considered a sport or a simple recreational activity, quickly gives beginners an irreversible passion for it. The MFA will instruct Fencing Coaches in “training to beginners”.
Refereeing is an important role within the sport of fencing. Referees are needed at competitions in order to ensure matches are managed by competent individuals acting with integrity, dignity, and a high level of fairness. Referees are also integral to creating a safe experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators. Learning how to officiate can have positive impacts for an athlete’s own fencing ability as well.
